Transport and Warehouse Operations Apprentice
The position would be to train up to gain a full understanding or transport and warehouse operations, Customer face to face skills. Geographical skills, timekeeping and maintaining a high standard for work for the whole working day.
Hourly Wage: £4.50, increasing to £5 after 6 months and £5.50 after 12 months if targets are met.
Working Week: Monday to Friday 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs (variable)
Future Prospects: Gain a professional qualification from a leading college and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, enabling a career in the Logistics Industry
Skills Required: The person must have good IT Skills, Grade C or above GCSE?s in English and Maths and must have excellent timekeeping.
Personal Qualities Required: They must be willing to work with others as well as showing initiative and problem solving skills on their own. They must be enthusiastic and committed to gain their qualification. They must be willing to work well in different environments, and attend training at the head office in Bridgwater on a regular basis.
Training to be provided: Introductory Certificate in Logistics, as well as Counterbalance fork lift truck. ON the job training will include all areas of the business.

Fixed Term Contract Class 1 LGV Drivers
Six month fixed term Contract LGV Class 1 drivers required to provide holiday and long term sickness cover.
Fixed term contracts from Monday 5th March to Friday 31st August and Monday 7th May to Friday 26th October at the Bridgwater Depot.
Working a variety of shift patterns either: Distance/Tramping with nights out. Days and Night trunking.
Should have fridge work experience preferably in the food industry.

This will include learning all procedures involved with loading, securing and unloading goods. Customer face to face skills. Working Week: Monday to Friday 0700 hrs to 1730 hrs (variable)
Future Prospects: Gain an LGV class C licence together with a counterbalance fork lift licence. Possible progression to gain an LGV Class C+E licence. Possible progression to transport management.
Skills Required: The person must have an existing car licence and show confidence whilst driving. They must have excellent timekeeping.
Personal Qualities Required: They must be willing to work with others as well as showing initiative and problem solving skills on their own. They must be enthusiastic and committed to gain their qualification. They must be willing to work well in different environments , both out on the road and within a warehouse environment.
