We are a Logistics Service Provider (LSP) specialising in controlled temperature operations. Approximately 25,000 pallets of frozen and chilled palletised foods per week pass through our operations. We offer collections from factories (or other cold storage locations), frozen or chilled storage (if required) and final delivery down to a one pallet minimum anywhere in the UK and Ireland which is accessible by LGVs.

The business comprises two main divisions:

Chillnet

This is the name for our service delivering to Wholesalers, Food Service Depots and Manufacturing locations. Typically, consignments of just one or two pallets of frozen or chilled food products are collected on Day 1 and delivered on Day 2 (five day week basis) anywhere in the UK mainland as far north as Aberdeen. Add one day for movements to and from Ireland (north and south). NB Next day is on a five day week basis, some restrictions apply – see delivery service details in Schedules and Info section of the website.

This is achieved by networking Langdons depots in Bridgwater, Luton, Peterborough, Redditch, Dover, Liverpool and Glasgow as well as partner depots in Newcastle, Moy (Northern Ireland), Dublin and Limerick (Eire). Most of these depots are connected directly with each other overnight using dual temperature, 26 pallet capacity articulated vehicles.

So for example, one pallet from Plymouth to Norwich would be collected by a Bridgwater-based vehicle, returned to Bridgwater, put on one of the night trunkers for Peterborough and then transferred to another vehicle for final delivery the next day.

RDC Deliveries

Our modern Bridgwater depot is the hub for our chilled service to major multiple retailer Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) throughout the UK. From this site there are daily departures seven days per week going to most of the RDCs. Orders received as late as 16.00 can be picked and despatched overnight and be on shelf the next day thereby meeting the exacting demands of the UK major multiple retailers.
