The Transport Fleet
From our 8 depots across the UK we operate over 240 vehicles and around 220 trailers. Most of our Trailer and Rigid vehicles feature dual-temperature compartments (and some tri-compartment) enabling us to carry frozen and chilled products on the same vehicle and offer a much more flexible service.
Substantial investment in transport equipment over recent years has resulted in a modern reliable fleet - essential for today’s demanding grocery trade where most deliveries are time sensitive and good clean vehicles are required for acceptable presentation of our customer’s goods at the delivery point. Most Trailers are fitted with GPS tracking units linked to digital temperature recorders which will produce proof of temperature in transit if required.
We operate our own maintenance and vehicle engineering facility where all equipment is engineered and maintained to the very highest standard.
Fleet Maintenance Centre
The Bridgwater Centre includes a high quality vehicle servicing and engineering facility, enabling us to control the maintenance of our large fleet of vehicles through our own workshop. This new facility has been designed to the highest possible standards and has already achieved an improvement in efficiency in this vital part of the company’s operation.
